1. Who we are

Railhop is operated by Railhop Europe s.r.o. (IČO 57 720 339), registered in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. We provide premium European rail trip planning and expert support. We are not a train operator, ticket seller, or travel agency that collects money on behalf of railways. Full operator details are in our Imprint.

2. What Railhop provides

Depending on the package you choose, our services may include:

  • Custom itinerary and route design
  • Interrail / Eurail vs. regular ticket recommendations
  • Reservation guidance and booking walkthroughs (Premium and VIP Care)
  • Pre-departure checks, disruption alerts, and delay compensation support (Premium and VIP Care)
  • Live support while travelling on travel days, 9:00–23:00 CET (VIP Care only)
  • Practical kits (e.g. emergency and fraud-awareness guidance) as described on the website

Exact scope for each tier is described on our Pricing page and in your order confirmation.

3. What Railhop does not provide

  • Train tickets, rail passes, or seat reservations — you always purchase these directly from operators or authorised sellers. Our fee covers planning and support only
  • Guarantee that any specific train will run on time or without disruption
  • Legal representation in disputes with operators (we guide you; operators remain contractually responsible for transport)
  • Travel insurance — we strongly recommend you arrange your own cover

4. How ordering works

Submitting a request does not create a binding contract until you accept our quote and pay the Railhop fee (or we agree otherwise in writing).

5. Prices and payment

Current package prices are listed on railhop.eu (e.g. Basic €49, Premium €99, VIP Care €199). Prices are shown in euros unless stated otherwise.

  • Extra travel days: trips beyond 15 travel days may incur additional per-day fees as stated on the website (Premium and VIP Care)
  • Promo codes: one-time discounts apply only when valid and confirmed by us before payment
  • Payment is due via the method specified in our payment link (e.g. card or bank transfer through a third-party payment provider)

Train pass, ticket, and reservation costs are separate and paid by you to operators.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate travel dates, destinations, budget, and constraints
  • Respond to our questions in reasonable time so we can meet agreed deadlines
  • Review the itinerary and booking instructions we provide before purchasing tickets
  • Carry valid travel documents and meet operator terms (ID, reservations, check-in rules)
  • Contact us promptly if your plans change materially after work has started

7. Delivery and timelines

Delivery timelines depend on your package, trip complexity, and how quickly you supply information. We agree a planning start date when we send the payment link. If you need work by a fixed deadline, tell us before payment — we will confirm whether it is achievable.

8. Cancellations and refunds

  • Before we start planning: you may cancel for a full refund of the Railhop fee
  • After planning has started or been delivered: refunds depend on how much work has been completed. We will always explain the position before you pay and again if you request cancellation mid-project
  • Operator tickets and passes: refunds follow each operator’s own rules — we can advise but cannot override them

If you are a consumer in the EU, statutory withdrawal rights may apply to distance contracts. Because planning is often customised and may begin at your request after payment, please contact us before exercising withdrawal so we can confirm what applies to your order.

9. VIP Care live support

VIP Care includes live support on your travel days between 9:00 and 23:00 CET, as described on the website. We aim to help with disruptions, missed connections, and practical next steps. We cannot guarantee unlimited response times in every scenario; support is best-effort by a human expert who knows your itinerary.

10. Intellectual property

Itineraries, documents, and materials we create for you are for your personal trip. You may not resell, publish, or commercially redistribute them without our written permission. Website content, branding, and guides remain our property.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for acts or omissions of train operators, accommodation providers, or other third parties
  • We are not liable for indirect losses (e.g. missed hotels, lost holiday time) except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise
  • Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid package is limited to the amount you paid Railhop for that package, except in cases of intent or gross negligence or where liability cannot be limited by law

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have as a consumer under applicable EU or national law.

12. Website use

You agree not to misuse the website (e.g. attempt unauthorised access, submit false information, or scrape content at scale). Content on railhop.eu is for general information; timetables and operator rules change — always verify critical details before travel.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Slovakia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence if you are an EU consumer.

We prefer to resolve issues directly: email hello@railhop.eu. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The version on railhop.eu at the time of your order applies to that order unless we agree otherwise.
